PUSTEHELGA

02.-04.10.2026

The 4th edition of Trondheim's breathing weekend is here again! Come to experience the softness of your breath, the layers of yourself that so easily get hidden under the surface, and let yourself melt back to life.

Program

The one and only breathing mini-festival in Trondheim returns with an in-depth immersion into the supple, subtle and soft breath.

Want a bunch of theoretical nuances and intellectual chewing about the breath? Great, but this is not the offering for that. In 2026 the focus will be on experience, and we are ready to open the doors into a whole new realm of breath(work) and somatics.

We want to dance with the breath, bathe in the breath, con-spire with the breath, follow the breath, melt into the breath and let the breath breathe us - and maybe learn something from it on this journey.

EXPERIENTIAL WORKSHOP

Shake the Dust & Rest in Breath Session

FRIDAY 02.10. KL 17-19
Release exercises, gentle breathwork, nervous system regulation and guided relaxation

What this session is about
This is an easy-going and deeply calming breathing session focused on reducing stress and supporting nervous system regulation. Through soft shaking, rhythmic movements, gentle release exercises, slow breathing techniques and guided meditation with music, participants are invited into a state of relaxation, grounding and recovery.
The session is designed to help the body shift out of stress mode and into a more regulated state. The combination of movement, breath and sound creates a safe environment for releasing tension and reconnecting with the body in a soft and supportive way.

What it can help with
Stress and overwhelm
Nervous system dysregulation
Mental fatigue and tension
Difficulty relaxing or slowing down
Recovery and emotional balance

What to expect
Expect a soft, slow and nourishing experience with some movement activations in the beginning. You will be guided through breathing exercises, gentle movements and meditative practices accompanied by carefully selected music. The session is suitable for all levels and requires no previous experience.

EXPERIENTIAL WORKSHOP

Somatic Breath Flow

SATURDAY 03.10. KL 10-12
Somatics x Breathwork. Slow breath-based movement, breath as connective tissue and liquid body attunement through the diaphragm

What this session is about
Somatic Breath Flow is a deep dive into the tissues of your body. You may have heard the sayings "the issue is in the tissue" or "the truth is in the fluids" — pointing to the idea of the body as a treasure box, a source of aliveness and a container that remembers. Opening this treasure box through soft, body-based movement and gentle breath exploration is a journey where hurry and intensity do little good. So we go slowly, giving you the time and space to engage with the landscape inside you. We start with nothing. There is nothing to do, and so the whole experience of the body begins to unfold. Slowly we weave the whole of you back to life, with the breath as both an anchor and a mover of all things.

What it can help with
Unwinding unnecessary tension
Releasing the diaphragm
Experiencing more ease and effortlessness
Befriending and attuning to your body
Nervous system regulation through a way of being

What to expect
Expect movement, breathing and meditative practices of presence and attunement. There are no expectations around your knowledge level or previous experience. As a side effect of the session, you'll learn more about the structures and mechanisms behind your breath (lungs, mitochondria, diaphragm, fascia) from fascinating perspectives never taught in Norway before!

EXPERIENTIAL WORKSHOP

Hypopressive Training Workshop

SATURDAY 03.10. KL 10-12
Posture, pressure control and deep core activation through Hypopressive Techniques

What this session is about
We begin with a warm-up focused on mobility and opening through the chest, hips and shoulders before moving into a progressive sequence of 5–6 Hypopressive Training Exercise poses.
The session is designed for people who already have some experience with Hypopressives and at minimum know how to perform the vacuum technique. We will refine positioning, pressure management and body awareness while exploring how hypopressive work influences the diaphragm, core system and pelvic floor.

What it can help with
Deep core activation and functional strength
Posture and spinal alignment
Breathing mechanics and diaphragm function
Pelvic floor awareness and coordination
Pressure management within the body
Athletic performance and body control

What to expect
Expect a focused and technical session with attention to precision, posture and breathing mechanics. The workshop will include mobility preparation, guided breathing patterns and repeated Hypopressive holds in different positions.

EXPERIENTIAL WORKSHOP

Mythic Movement

SATURDAY 03.10. KL 13-15
Animal body activation, movement curiosity and exploration of breath in postures

What this session is about
Awaken your inner animal, mythic body and ancestral memory in this playful class! Maybe a part of you yearns for something more than A4 life or the limited rectangle of the yoga mat. Maybe the fire flickering inside you is searching for a pathway to expression. Maybe you're ready for some cosmic support and mythic unburdening…
Mythic Movement is a full-body, full-breath session built on somatics, ancestral movement and a few carefully chosen myths. Supported by music, the storyline takes us on a journey to the underworld, the middle world and the upper world, exploring different directions of movement and breath in our physical and energy bodies. This is an out-of-the-ordinary, otherworldly trance-state session — a perfect preparation for the Embodied Breathwork journey.

What it can help with
Feeling stuck in patterns, in movement and in life
Blocked creativity and a sense of things not flowing
Opening up the physical and energy body
New perspectives and an expanded sense of self
Laughter, emotion and expression

What to expect
Expect a session that takes you out of the ordinary and out of your habitual patterns of being and doing. It includes some theory about the animal body, whole-body breathing and self-expression, followed by a mythosomatic movement and breath journey.

EXPERIENTIAL WORKSHOP

The Juicy Pelvis

SATURDAY 03.10. KL 13-15
Deep release, mobility and rhythmic movement for the hips, glutes and pelvic floor

What this session is about
The Juicy Pelvis is a deep-dive workshop focused on releasing tension and restoring movement and freedom in and around the pelvis. We will work with the glutes, pelvic floor, hip rotators and surrounding connective tissue through dynamic stretching protocols, mobility drills, long-held positions and rhythmic movement guided by music.
This session combines principles from mobility training, physiotherapy, breath training and nervous system regulation to help participants reconnect with an area of the body that often stores stress, stiffness and emotional tension. Some exercises will challenge your comfort zone in a positive and exploratory way.

What it can help with
Tight hips and glutes
Pelvic floor tension and stiffness
Reduced mobility and body awareness
Stress-related holding patterns in the lower body
Improved fluidity, grounding and movement confidence

What to expect
Expect a workshop that is slow, deep and embodied. We will move through mobility drills, long-held stretches, rhythmic release work and intuitive movement patterns guided by music. The goal is not performance, but release, awareness and freedom of movement.

EXPERIENTIAL WORKSHOP

Embodied Breathwork

SATURDAY 03.10. KL 15-17
Breathwork session for tapping into your life force, emotional landscape and bliss body

What this session is about
In Embodied Breathwork, the potency of the space allows you to let go, on an even deeper level, of the mental constructs you've built about yourself and your life. In other words, the session is a soft landing into your sovereignty and authenticity through the body, inviting you to listen to how the breath wants to move you in this very moment.
The session begins seated or lying down, with some attunements - and the invitation is to stay lying down for most of it. Embodied Breathwork is all about attuning to yourself, reconnecting with and navigating your body's landscape with the help of the breath. This allows your senses to open up, the bliss body to emerge and your life force to flow more freely.

What it can help with
Life force activation
Experiencing more pleasure and freedom
Becoming more sensitive and attuned to your actual needs and wishes
Gentle emotional detox

What to expect
In this session we use a soft, flowing, circular breath through the nose or the mouth. The technique is much gentler than modern hyperventilation breathwork. Music will support the session throughout. Expect insights and aha-moments!

EXPERIENTIAL WORKSHOP

Breath Strength Training

SATURDAY 03.10. KL 15-17
Strengthening the breathing muscles through resistance, movement and functional activation

What this session is about
Breath Strength Training is a more physically engaging workshop focused on strengthening the muscles involved in breathing. Using gravity, body positioning, elastic bands, movement patterns and even partner-based resistance exercises, we will explore how to activate and challenge the breathing system in a functional way.
This session combines principles from physiotherapy, athletic performance training and breath mechanics to improve respiratory strength, awareness and control. Participants will learn how breathing muscles contribute not only to respiration, but also to posture, core stability and performance.

What it can help with
Stronger and more efficient breathing muscles
Improved breathing capacity and control
Better athletic performance and endurance
More functional and resilient breathing patterns

What to expect
Expect a dynamic and interactive session with a mix of movement, resistance work and breathing drills. We will use different body positions, elastic bands and partner exercises to create resistance and stimulate the breathing muscles in new ways. The workshop is physically engaging while still accessible, with a strong focus on technique, awareness and functional movement.

EXPERIENTIAL WORKSHOP

The Sweet Spot of Contrasts

SUNDAY 04.10. KL 10-12
An experiential session about contrasts - in breath, and in life

What this session is about
In the morning we experienced the invigorating effects of hot and cold, and this session continues the theme! Should we breathe more, or less? Should we control the breath, or set it free? Is all tension bad, and no tension the goal? How much intensity do we really need - or is softness the answer to a life without friction?
In this session you'll learn a new map for nervous system regulation, while we challenge some common ideas about balance. The session includes breathing less as well as breathing more, and practising breath holds in a controlled hyperventilation setting (Wim Hof style).

What it can help with
Feeling stuck in a nervous system state
Hypersensitivity to bodily reactions (through befriending the sensations)
Clarity
Reducing stress and building resilience

What to expect
Expect some new theory and an invigorating breathing session that adds just the right amount of challenge.

EXPERIENTIAL WORKSHOP

Waves of Relational Experience

SUNDAY 04.10. KL 13-15
Breath as the bridge — between you, others, and everything that exists

What this session is about
How does breath help you connect and relate?
This is a workshop about connection and relationship — how we relate to ourselves and to everything that exists, and what role the breath plays in it. How can you use the breath consciously to create deeper, more meaningful communication and interaction? In the practice part, we explore some connection exercises, learning about ourselves, the breath and the nervous system in relation to others.

What it can help with
Weak or unclear boundaries
Finding your place in the world
Social anxiety
Connecting

What to expect
"Relational" is often associated with human relationships. In this workshop you are completely free to choose your own relationship with the concept of "relational" — no pair or group work is mandatory. We broaden the relationality of the breath through images, illustrations, movement and breaths, some of which may be shared with others in the group.
